FULTON — Callaway County health officials have confirmed one case of swine flu and suspect another member of the same family may also have the virus.
Callaway County Health Administrator Sharon Lynch would not disclose the family's name, but said the one case was confirmed on Thursday. She said the individuals have been advised to stay home for seven days or 24 hours after their symptoms ease, whichever is longer.
The number of confirmed swine flu cases in Missouri is now 51, with one death linked to the virus.
The World Health Organization on Thursday declared swine flu a global pandemic.
