Wednesday, June 17, 2009 | 5:15 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA — Starting Monday, one westbound lane of I-70 at the Route J bridge (mile marker 137) will be closed, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Work was originally supposed to begin on Wednesday but has been pushed back.

The closing, which could last through Friday, June 26, will allow the Route J bridge to be painted. As the work progresses, the closure will change to one eastbound lane. During the work, the lane closures will be in effect 24 hours a day.
