The Power Team hosted a revival “Rocky”-style Wednesday night at the Hallsville Heritage Days. The team has been touring the world, demonstrating feats of strength including bending steal, breaking bricks, tearing phone books and snapping bats. The team has shared this motivational message since 1975.

HALLSVILLE — The Power Team’s appearance at the Hallsville Heritage days was not your typical revival. Sure, the Christian gospel was preached and prayers were said, but only after the team of men weighing roughly 300 pounds performed superhuman feats of strength to capture the audience’s attention.

Former football player Jamie Morrison, vice president of the Power Team, along with two other strikingly large men broke bricks, bent steel, tore phone books and snapped bats before a delighted, cheering crowd. And when they shared stories of faith, the audience listened intently.

Hallsville Baptist Church along with Centralia Baptist Church and Grandview Baptist Church in Centralia worked together to bring the team to the Heritage Days. The team has been touring the world since 1975 and performed at school assemblies in Hallsville and Mexico during their stop in mid-Missouri.
