Columbia man arrested on suspicion of meth manufacturing

 COLUMBIA — A 27-year-old Columbia man was arrested Friday on suspicion of manufacturing methamphetamine, the Boone County Sheriff's Department said.

Beau Leach was arrested at about 5:45 p.m. in the 1100 block of Westwinds Drive after law enforcement found meth and evidence of meth manufacturing on Leach and in his vehicle, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Department.

Leach was also arrested on suspicion of introducing contraband into a correctional facility and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver's license.

At the time of this arrest, Leach was on federal parole for dangerous drugs related to a Boone County methamphetamine investigation, according to the news release.

Leach was being held in the Boone County Jail.
