FENTON — Workers at Chrysler's north assembly plant in St. Louis County are back on the job, but only for a short time.

Monday marked the start of the final run for the plant in Fenton, as production on the Dodge Ram pickup truck resumes for two weeks to fulfill remaining orders. The Fenton plant will close for good on July 10. Originally, it was to close in September.

Chrysler emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy last week after a new company was created by the sale of most of Chrysler's assets to Fiat. The north plant has been closed since April when the automaker filed for bankruptcy protection.

There are also no plans to reopen the Fenton south plant, where minivans have been manufactured for several years.
