What's open? What's closed in Columbia for holiday weekend?

City service schedule for Independence Day weekend:
- In observance of Independence Day, city offices will be closed Friday.
- Residential curbside trash and recycling collection will run its regular schedule on Friday.
- The city landfill will be closed on Saturday.
- The Household Hazardous Waste Facility, 1313 Lakeview Ave., will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
- Columbia Transit will remain on its regular schedule Friday and not run on Saturday.
- Parking meters will not be enforced Friday and Saturday.
Questions can be directed to the Public Works Department at 874-7250 or the Solid Waste Division at 874-6291.
