JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster is scheduled to testify before a U.S. Senate committee about growing complaints of mortgage and debt repair fraud.
Koster's appearance before the Senate Commerce Committee was set for Tuesday.
Koster said he planned to outline the growing number of complaints his office has received about fraudulent schemes to help people with mortgage or debt problems.
In the past few months, Missouri has filed suit against seven companies offering mortgage refinancing, foreclosure relief or debt settlement services.
