ST. LOUIS — Going to the top of the Gateway Arch will get a little cheaper, at least for a couple of days.
The National Park Service is waiving entry fees at many parks around the country on July 18 and 19.
There is never an entry fee to get into the Arch, but as part of the program, the Park Service will offer $3 discounts on adult tickets for the tram ride to the top.
The same discount will also apply to movie viewing at the Arch and a riverboat sightseeing cruise.
Officials at the popular attraction say the National Park Service wants to help visitors enjoy the Arch despite the difficult economy.
