COLUMBIA — A month after the City Council passed a bicycle harassment ordinance, the Police Department on Wednesday added a section to its online crime reporting tool that allows residents to report incidents of bike harassment.

The online crime reporting tool can be found at the city's Web site, which also features options for reporting stealing, vandalism, suspicious activity and identity theft.

"People in Columbia will continue to see the police make more information available on our website, whether it's a new ordinance we'll be enforcing, police services available or other matters of safety," Police Chief Ken Burton said.

The Web site also links to the text of the bicycle harassment ordinance.
