COLUMBIA — A Columbia man was shot in the right foot Monday night after leaving a party near Quail Drive, according to the Columbia Police Department.
Terrell Williams, 29, was attacked by two men and was shot after breaking loose and running away, said Jessie Haden, a public information officer.
Police received a report at about 2 a.m. from a caller who reported hearing what sounded like three shots in the area, Haden said.
When officers arrived at the 2600 block of Quail Drive in northeast Columbia, they were met by a large group of people in the street, but no witnesses came forward.
"Nobody would give any information," Haden said.
Williams flagged down police on the scene and was taken by ambulance to University Hospital. He did not provide a description of his attackers, Haden said. Williams was listed in good condition as of Tuesday afternoon, hospital officials said.
Police have no leads or suspects in the case, Haden said.
