St. Louis County to again consider smoking ban

CLAYTON — Members of the St. Louis County Council will decide at a meeting on Aug. 18 whether to place a smoking ban proposal before voters.

More than 60 people spoke at a meeting Tuesday on both sides of the debate. The council approved a bill that, if approved by voters, would ban smoking at most indoor public places but exempt casinos and most bars.

But the measure states that if St. Louis city or the state passes a ban without exemptions, the county would do the same.

If approved, the measure would go on the Nov. 3 ballot.

Be careful with the fine print on the ballot. The tax exempt American Cancer Society paid for lawyers to remove Ohios exemptions AFTER they were voter approved. If they got away with it once, you know they’ll do it again. “Thank you American Cancer Society, we never knew all you do” The private vets clubs of Ohio know what they do. I'm sure they are remembering them with with their donations.and estate plans.
