COLUMBIA — The Missouri women's gymnastics team finished 13th in the country in the National Association of Collegiate Gymastics Coaches Scholastic All-America team rankings.
Missouri's gymasts had an overall grade-point average of 3.4457.
Missouri was the only Big 12 school represented in the national top 15. The overall team winner was Southeast Missouri State with its team average of 3.9124.
Eight Missouri gymnasts were honored as scholar athletes, led by sophomore Lauren Stephenson (Kansas City, Mo.), who finished with a team-high 3.97 GPA in biological sciences. Also earning the distinction were Allie Heizelman (Cypress, Texas/3.85 GPA), Liz Straatmann (Villa Ridge/3.68), Brooke Boehmer (Overland Park/3.67), Lisa LaPerriere (Macomb, Mich./3.67), Brittany Haines (Greenfield, Ind./3.63), Becky Scholle (Chesterfield/3.61) and Alicia Hatcher (Blue Springs/3.54).
