BOONVILLE — A Boonville woman has been charged in a fatal accident involving a highway construction worker.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says 45-year-old Karen M. Redfern was driving on Highway 5 in Boonville on Friday morning when her vehicle ran off the right side of the highway and struck 56-year-old Gregory G. Glover of Eureka. Glover was working on a road widening project at the time.

The highway patrol says Glover was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cooper County Sheriff Jerry Wolfe said Redfern was charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter, first-degree assault with physical injury, armed criminal action and driving while intoxicated-prior offender.

She was being held in Cooper County Detention Center on a $200,000 bond.
