Roy Blunt issues statement on death of former Gov. Warren Hearnes

COLUMBIA — U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt issued the following statement Monday morning on the death of former Missouri Gov. Warren Hearnes:

"Warren Hearnes dedicated his life to public service. He cared deeply about people and was a great friend to many.

"I always enjoyed talking to him and benefited from his understanding of our state.

"My thoughts and prayers are with Betty and their family."
