COLUMBIA —Two search warrants executed by the Cole County Sheriff's Department on Friday evening yielded more than three pounds of suspected illegal substances, several weapons, drug paraphernalia and thousands of dollars in cash.
According to a department news release, police found scales, handguns, cash and about a pound of what they believe to be marijuana at an address in the 4800 block of Rainbow Hills Road in Jefferson City.
Police found about two pounds of what police believe to be marijuana and small amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine at a second location in the 8900 block of Stoney Gap Road in Jefferson City. Police also found a six-foot-tall marijuana plant, prescription medications, a bag of marijuana seeds, a number of firearms and $6,000 in cash.
The department was still seeking suspects this morning.
