McCaskill attends three health care forums Monday

HANNIBAL — Sen. Claire McCaskill is hosting another round of forums seeking input from Missourians on the Obama administration's plans to reform health care.

The Democrat scheduled forums Monday in Hannibal, Moberly and Kansas City.

Several health care forums around the country have turned boisterous in recent weeks as Congress weighs reforms to the nation's health care system. Six people were arrested earlier this month in St. Louis County at a forum hosted by another Missouri Democrat, Rep. Russ Carnahan.

A McCaskill forum in Kennett earlier this month was relatively calm, but sessions in Poplar Bluff and Hillsboro drew louder and sometimes angry crowds. One arrest was made at the Hillsboro event.

McCaskill also plans forums Aug. 31 in West Plains and Springfield.
