COLUMBIA — The Missouri women’s soccer team sought redemption Friday in its game against Rhode Island after losing to DePaul last Sunday. The Tigers were ranked 11th in the country by Soccer America Magazine before dropping to 21st after the loss.
The Missouri women's soccer team plays again against Long Beach State at 10 a.m. Sunday at Walton Stadium.
This time, Missouri’s offense dominated throughout the game and led the team to a 7-1 victory over the Rhode Island.
Despite substitutions by Missouri to give freshmen some playing experience and a few last minute offensive opportunities for Rhode Island, the Tigers held onto their large lead and won the game.
