JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri National Guard says it is working on nearly $3 million worth of projects funded with federal stimulus money.
The 21 projects are located at Camp Clark in Nevada, Mo.; the guard's training facilities near Jefferson City and Fort Leonard Wood; an aviation facility in Springfield; and the Kingshighway center in St. Louis.
At Camp Clark, for example, the stimulus money is being used to renovate several World War II-era barracks with such things as new roofs, windows and heating and air conditioning systems. Similar renovations are under way at the guard's 60-year-old barracks near Fort Leonard Wood.
