OLD MONROE — A Lincoln County woman faces drug charges after a home fire leads to a drug bust.
Angela Nash, 48, was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance after authorities discovered a room in her house allegedly used for growing marijuana plants.
Authorities found heat lamps, timers and potted plants in the basement when the Old Monroe and the Lincoln County Fire District responded to a fire Sunday in her home in Old Monroe.
KMOV-TV in St. Louis reported that Nash told a county deputy she grew marijuana for enjoyment and recreation. Deputies also found drug paraphernalia and marijuana in Nash's purse.
She was released from the Lincoln County Jail after posting a bond. She did not have a listed number to call for comment.
