COLUMBIA — The Missouri women's cross-country team won the Missouri Cross Country Challenge on Saturday at A.L. Gustin Golf Course. Katie Vanatta, a freshman, finished first overall for the Tigers in 17:54 in the exhibition meet. It is the second year in a row that the women's team has won the event.
The Missouri men's team was unable to defending it's title. The Tigers' Phillip King ran a 25:46 to take first place overall, but the Tigers placed second to Kansas.
