For the first time this season, the Columbia College volleyball team lost a match, falling to Missouri University of Science and Technology 26-24, 18-25, 26-24, 21-25, 15-10 on Tuesday in Rolla.
The Cougars failed to capitalize on opportunities to win in the first and third games. The Cougars, who are ranked No. 4 in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll, are now 13-1 overall, but remain undefeated in American Midwest Conference play.
The Cougars play next against AMC opponent Hannibal-LaGrange on Monday at the Arena of Southwell Complex.
