Jefferson City edges Hickman softball team

COLUMBIA — The Hickman softball team lost 1-0 on Tuesday to visiting Jefferson City. The game lasted eight innings before Hickman surrendered the winning run.

It was senior night for the Kewpies, but the Jays spoiled a strong performance by pitcher Amy Johanning and the Hickman defense.

Hickman will play this weekend in the Kewpie Classic tournament.
