The Hickman and Rock Bridge football teams are certainly familiar with each other, but that hasn't prevented them from working hard to prepare for tonight's game against each other at Memorial Stadium. Hickman even called on a hero from its 1966 team to give a pep talk to this year's squad.

And here's a letter from the Vox editor about Thursday's magazine:
In honor of tonight’s Providence Bowl, Vox magazine has packed its High School Face-off issue with the tales of long-tenured teachers and a who’s-who list of famous alums. Columbia might brim with small-town charm, but what other city can lay claim to Carl Edwards, Claire McCaskill and Sam Walton? That’s what we thought.
In addition to this lighter content, we also take a close look at the cultures of the city's two main high schools, including technology and violence. In doing this, we hoped to better understand the schools and paint a more complete picture of them. To our knowledge, this is the first in-depth comparison of Hickman and Rock Bridge, and we trust these stories have a shelf life longer than just football season.
