Final: Missouri 31, Nevada 21
A Grant Ressel field goal and a Blaine Gabbert touchdown pass to Jared Perry allowed Missouri to expand its lead to 31-13. Colin Kaepernick completed a touchdown pass to Brandon Wimberly with 2:32 to go. Kaepernick was able to scramble into the end zone on the two-point conversion, but Nevada failed to recover the ensuing onside kick.
Third quarter: Missouri 21, Nevada 13
Nevada's Colin Kaepernick opened the second-half scoring with an 11-yard run. Nevada’s two-point conversion attempt failed, leaving its lead at 13-12. Missouri needed just two plays to respond. Blaine Gabbert had a 74-yard touchdown pass to Danario Alexander. Gabbert’s attempt to find Alexander again for a two-point conversion failed. Grant Ressel made a 27-yard field goal to expand Missouri’s lead.
Halftime: Missouri 12, Nevada 7
Blaine Gabbert completed a 31-yard touchdown pass to Danario Alexander to give Missouri the lead. The Tigers went for a two-point conversion and Derrick Washington’s run to the left side failed to get into the end zone.
First quarter: Nevada 7, Missouri 6
Grant Ressel gave Missouri the first points of the game when he made a 22-yard field goal. Nevada followed it up with a touchdown drive that Courtney Randall finished with a two-yard run. With a minute to go, Ressel made a 31-yard field goal to cut the deficit to one point.
