COLUMBIA — Missouri Tiger football fans have experienced problems during the last two home games as a result of Memorial Stadium's switch from assigned student seating to general admission.
In local media, students and residents attending the games have both complained about some of the new policies, such as having to arrive at a certain time, having less space for seating and waiting in longer lines to enter the stadium.
MU has reacted to the complaints by hiring 40 extra ushers to direct people to open seating areas and explain the new policies.
"Any time you switch a system, there will be kinks," department spokesman Chad Moller said. "We know it wasn't perfect, and we are making corrections."
The next Missouri home game is Oct. 8, a Thursday night matchup against rival Nebraska. The last time Missouri played Nebraska in Memorial Stadium, more than 70,000 fans showed up.
Do you think MU has done enough to fix seating problems under its new policy, or could more be done?
