Couple found shot dead in Jefferson City

JEFFERSON CITY — Jefferson City police are investigating the shooting deaths of a man and woman.

Jefferson City police Capt. Michael Smith said police went to an apartment complex about 3:30 this morning after getting calls from neighbors.

KRCG/Channel 13 reports that police do not believe anyone other than the couple was in the apartment.

Authorities do not believe the killings were drug- or gang-related.
