COLUMBIA — The Missouri softball team threw its second no-hitter in the short fall season, and improved to 4-0.
In the first game of a home doubleheader, the Tigers shut out Johnson County Community College 7-0. Sophomore Chelsea Thomas and senior Jana Hainey combined for the no-hitter. Thomas pitched the first five innings, and Hainey closed it out, throwing the sixth and seventh.
The Tigers downed Iowa Central Community College 12-3 in Game 2. Junior All-American Marla Schweisberger went 3-for-4 with an RBI.
Freshman Nicole Hudson hit her fourth home run in first game, and her fifth in the second. She has five in four games.
