COLUMBIA — With only a day before MU’s home opener against Bowling Green, Bob Stanley and the Tiger Turf Crew had odds and ends left to finish before kickoff. The crew spends about three weeks before the game each year preparing the stadium for fans.
Stanley, the MU assistant athletic director for facilities, has been working for the athletic department for more than 30 years. But the installation of a new scoreboard this year complicated matters and brought the crew’s work down to the last day.
