I-70 work to halt for football traffic

JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri Department of Transportation is halting road work on Interstate 70 to help the Missouri football team.
MoDOT
will stop construction and maintenance work on the highway from noon
Thursday until 6 a.m. on Friday to help speed traffic. The Missouri Tigers play the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Thursday night at Memorial Stadium.

Transportation officials are expecting heavier than normal traffic and say stopping road work should help traffic flow. Most MU football games are on Saturdays when there is little work on construction projects.
