COLUMBIA — A Hallsville man was arrested early Wednesday on suspicion of drug possession and resisting arrest.
A deputy with the Boone County Sheriff's Department stopped a vehicle for a license violation at 12:09 a.m. in the 300 block of Glenstone Drive. According to a news release, the suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The deputy pursued and searched the area but was unable to locate the suspect.
According to Deputy Mark Winchester, an unspecified amount of marijuana was located in the vehicle. After investigation, deputies were led to an apartment on Keene Street where they were assisted by the Columbia Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol in arresting the suspect without incident.
Charges filed against Jonathan Ryan March, 25, include possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, resisting arrest and failure to register a motor vehicle. Bond for the drug violation has not been set. Bonds for the remaining offenses were set at $4,500 and $95, respectively.
March was still being held at the Boone County Jail Wednesday afternoon.
