Bluebird Festival winds down Saturday

Jam sessions, reuniting bands and unexpected instruments marked the final day of the 2009 Bluebird Music and Arts Festival. The second annual festival celebrated the Midwestern culture.

COLUMBIA — The second annual Bluebird Music and Arts Festival brought artists and musicians from around the Midwest to Columbia Friday and Saturday.
Seventy-two acts performed at 13 venues around the city. The Friday night art gallery crawl showcased conceptual artists from Midwestern states.
Some of the final bands to perform Saturday included the Hooten Hallers and the reunion of Columbia band The Doxies.
