Rachel Solomon, 20, and Michelle Benaim, 18, mourn the loss of their sorority sister Tracy Fisher on Tuesday at Mizzou Hillel. The two were in Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi, a Jewish sorority, with Fisher. "We're all wearing headbands because she always was," Solomon said.

COLUMBIA — Nearly 100 mourners attended a memorial service at Hillel Jewish Campus Center on Tuesday night to remember MU freshman Tracy Fisher.

Fisher, whose 19th birthday would have been Tuesday, was rushed to the hospital Monday after collapsing in the middle of College Avenue at the Rollins Street intersection. She was a pre-journalism student from Dallas.

The Boone County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled that she died from an undetected blood clot in her leg and her death was likely "near instantaneous."

The memorial service, which began at 6:15 p.m., featured prayers in both English and Hebrew, and gave mourners an opportunity to say a few words about how Fisher had touched their lives.
