COLUMBIA — In Boone County, more than 21,000 people live without health insurance. Nationally, the number approaches 50 million. As part of its health care feature "One in 50 Million," the Columbia Missourian recently profiled three local people who are among the ranks of uninsured. Missourian health editor Katherine Reed and reporter Angela Hamilton visited The Beat to talk about the feature.
