Columbia College volleyball team wins doubleheader

The Columbia College women's volleyball team defeated Williams Baptist in a doubleheader Saturday in Walnut Ridge, Ark.

The Cougars slid past Williams Baptist in the first match 25-14, 25-15 and 25-15.  In the second contest, the Cougars won 25-17, 25-23 and 25-15.  

Cate Eckhardt and Monica Santos led the Cougars in kills in both matches. Paula Ferreira had 36 assists in the first match and 34 assists in the second match.  

The No. 7 Cougars (26-2, 12-0 in the American Midwest Conference) will play AMC rival McKendree at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Southwell Complex.
