COLUMBIA — A pedestrian was struck by a passing truck near Columbia College early Friday evening, but she wasn't seriously injured.
The woman was crossing Rogers Street at Tenth Street at 5:45 p.m. when she was struck by a Chevy headed east on Rogers, Columbia police Officer Joel Mueller said.
Mueller said the pedestrian was stepping off the curb to cross the street, but the driver was not able to brake in time to avoid hitting her.
The woman was taken to a hospital, but was not in serious condition.
