COLUMBIA — A 1999 BMW veered off the side of Interstate 70 and flipped over at mile marker 128 on Monday evening. Columbia police said the driver was alone and no one appeared to be injured at the time.
Officers received a call at 5:27 p.m. to assist. The accident caused traffic to back up to Providence Road. Two officers, one sergeant, firefighters and paramedics arrived on the scene.
The accident was cleared, and all lanes on I-70 had opened again by 6:39 p.m.
