Missourian readers advised not to submit information to digmo.com

COLUMBIA – Columbia Missourian readers should not enter any personal information at digmo.com or linked Web sites. Digmo.com is no longer the Missourian’s Web site. The only Missourian Web site is ColumbiaMissourian.com.

Digmo.com still looks like a generic news site, but some links require users to enter information such as a cell phone number or an address. Readers are urged to not enter anything on these sites.

Readers have reported that by entering a phone number, a user is enrolled in an international news texting service for a charge of $9.99 on his or her cell phone bill. Users who have accidentally enrolled in this program should call their cell phone providers to cancel the service and avoid charges.
