JEFFERSON CITY — Public agencies and community organizations in Missouri are getting $1.5 million in federal funds to reduce juvenile crime.

The biggest chunk is a $750,000 grant for a program of delinquency intervention and other court services. The money is going to agencies in Boone, Callaway, Greene, Jackson, Clay, St. Charles and St. Louis counties as well. Two state agencies are also participating.

The city of Columbia and southeast Missouri's Mississippi County are getting about $30,000 each for programs designed to keep juveniles out of trouble.
