BUFFALO, Mo. — A southwest Missouri man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison in the Christmas Day death of his wife.
Bradley Jennings of Buffalo initially told investigators that his wife, Lisa, killed herself after an argument in 2006. But her relatives didn't believe the story.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated and found that blood spatters on Lisa Jennings' hands were inconsistent with a suicide.
Investigators also found that clothes Bradley Jennings had been wearing contained blood patterns suggesting he was "very close" to his wife when she was killed.
Dallas County jurors convicted Jennings in August of second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
On Thursday, Circuit Court Judge John W. Sims imposed the 25-year sentence jurors had recommended.
