CAPE GIRARDEAU — Normally, Allison Turner prefers jeans and T-shirts while working with horses in her hometown of Cape Girardeau. A completely different type of attire has her in the finals of a national competition.

The Southeast Missourian reports that Turner is among five finalists for the Victoria's Secret Angel Boot Camp model competition. She initially auditioned in Chicago, made the final 10 and recently advanced to the final five.

The next round of voting is to begin Monday online.

Turner has modeling experience, but the lingerie shoot made her nervous. She is hopeful that even if she doesn't win, the exposure will advance her modeling career.

The winner of the competition will be a part of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which is to be broadcast on Dec. 1 on CBS.
