LEXINGTON — Four of the five family members charged with sexually abusing children said during a brief court hearing that they do not yet have lawyers.

Burrell E. Mohler Sr. and his four sons were arraigned Tuesday in Lafayette County Court just hours after prosecutors filed 15 more rape and abuse charges against them.

Only 48-year-old Jared Leroy Mohler said he had hired a lawyer while the other defendants said they were still working to find attorneys.

The men are charged with rape and other felonies against children from the mid-1980s to 1995.

Burrell Mohler Sr.'s cash-only bond was raised to $150,000.

The men are due back in court in early December.

Detectives are also investigating allegations that these men might have also killed several people.

A search warrant returned Tuesday includes few details, and none about the identities of the victims of the alleged slayings or how many might have actually occurred. Investigators say they are taking the claims seriously, but are focused on the sexual assault case.

The search warrant says three women who say they were abused as children also observed "several murders," and it details how they say they were forced to help kill and bury a man.
