Boone County Health Department offers third round of H1N1 vaccines

The Columbia/Boone County Health Department offered the third H1N1 flu vaccine clinic for expanded priority groups Wednesday. According to Genalee Alexander of Columbia/Boone County Health and Human Services, there are roughly 22,000 doses of H1N1 vaccine available in Boone County.

The Columbia/Boone County Health Department offered the third H1N1 flu vaccine clinic for expanded priority groups Wednesday.  In addition to the narrow priority groups already eligible to receive the vaccine, Wednesday’s clinic included anyone six months to 24 years old and 25-65 with chronic medical conditions. 

According to Genalee Alexander of Columbia/Boone County Health and Human Services, there are roughly 22,000 doses of H1N1 vaccine available in Boone County, but the expanded priority groups include about 105,000 Boone County residents.
