COLUMBIA — A four-car collision involving a cement truck was the source of backed up traffic Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Stadium Boulevard and College Avenue.
MU Police Officer David Licklider, who was the primary investigative officer, and another officer were dispatched to the scene at 2:18 p.m. The debris was cleared at 3:22 p.m., Sgt. Alan Fish of the MU Police Department said.
The people and the vehicles involved in the crash were:
- Adam Craig, beige Honda with damages to the front end
- Jennifer Gravley, gray Hyundai Elantra with damages to the front left
- Jacalyn Braznell, black Nissan Pathfinder with damages to the left rear
- Mark Nowlin, Central Concrete truck with damages to the left side
Fish said Craig was going southbound on College Avenue in the left lane when he crossed into the northbound lane. Instead of stopping, Craig swerved back into the southbound lane and his car hit Gravley's care, causing her car to hit Braznell's vehicle. Craig continued into the intersection and hit Nowlin's truck, who was on Stadium Boulevard going east and turning left onto north College Avenue.
Craig was issued citations for running a red light and colliding with another vehicle.
Fish said the only injuries were to Craig, who received bruises from his seat belt. No one was taken to the hospital.
