Columbia College men's basketball team falls at Marshall

The Columbia Cougar men's basketball team lost 66-62 to Missouri Valley College on Tuesday night in Marshall, dropping the Cougars to 3-5.

Brian Porter led the Vikings (7-1) with 14 points. Chad Thompson had 20 points and eight rebounds for the Cougars. Josh Davis came off the bench to score 10.

Columbia College, No. 19 in the NAIA Preseason Top 25, host host the Best Western Thanksgiving Classic this weekend at the Arena of Southwell Complex. The Cougars play Avila at 8 p.m. on Friday and Lindenwood at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Hannibal-LaGrange rounds out the four-team field.
