Laura Bush to speak in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS — Former first lady Laura Bush is scheduled to be in St. Louis on Tuesday as part of Maryville University's St. Louis Speakers Series.

Bush will speak Tuesday night about issues she was involved in during her husband's two terms in the White House, including literacy, human rights and efforts toward prevention and cure of diseases such as breast cancer and AIDS.

Other speakers in the series include former Pakistan President Perez Musharraf and actress Mia Farrow.

All the speeches are at Powell Symphony Hall.
