Missouri's Ressel earns Big 12 footbal honors

COLUMBIA — After kicking the game-winning field goal in the Missouri's football teams' victory against Kansas on Saturday in Kansas City, sophomore Grant Ressel was named the Big 12 Conference's Special Teams Player of the Week.
In addition to the 27-yard field goal that gave Missouri the 41-39 win, Ressel also completed 43-, 28-, and 37-yard kicks. Ressel is 24-of-25 in field goals and 38-of-38 in extra points on the season. His near-perfect kicking this season puts him at first in field goals per game average and second in per-game scoring average in the Big 12. Ressel also leads the nation with an a 96 percent accuracy.
