The Columbia College men's basketball team defeated Lyon (Ark.) College 69-65 on Tuesday in Batesville, Ark.
The Cougars (4-7), who trailed 35-31 at halftime, had four players reach double figures in scoring. Chad Thompson had 15 points, Will Cobb scored 13 and Greg Stegeman 12, while Adam Carpenter had 11. Columbia College forced Lyon into 14 turnovers and converted those turnovers into 16 points.
The Cougars, No. 19 in the NAIA poll, are idle until Sunday when they play an exhibition contest as part of the Norm Stewart Classic. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the Arena of Southwell Complex.
