Three members of the Missouri football team were named first-team All Big-12 today by the conference's coaches. Senior linebacker Sean Weatherspoon, senior wide receiver Danario Alexander and sophomore placekicker Grant Ressel all earned first team honors, while freshman defensive end Aldon Smith was named the conference's defensive freshman of the year.

Weatherspoon ranks 3rd in the Big 12 in tackles, and is a Butkus Award finalist. This is his second consecutive season as a first-team selection. Alexander leads the nation with 1644 receiving yards, and Ressel leads the nation in field goal accuracy, making 24 of 25 field goal attempts in his first season as the Tiger kicker.

Smith leads the nation among freshman with 11 sacks and 18.5 tackles for loss. His sack total is also tied for the Missouri single-season record.
