JEFFERSON CITY — A Jefferson City man accused of killing two people in September has been returned to Jefferson City from Oklahoma.

David Russell Hosier is charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the shooting deaths of 45-year-old Angela Gilpin of Jefferson City and 61-year-old Rodney Gilpin of Hartsburg.

Their bodies were discovered in the doorway of a two-story apartment building directly in front of Hosier's residence. Police said Angela Gilpin tried for two months to end a relationship with Hosier.

Hosier was arrested in Oklahoma about seven hours after police in Missouri discovered the bodies. He now is being held in the Morgan County jail.

Federal charges against Hosier for being a felon in possession of ammunition have been dropped but can be refiled.
