The Columbia College volleyball team was knocked out of the NAIA national tournament after being swept by Georgetown (Ky.) College 25-19, 27-25 and 25-19 in its final pool play match in Sioux City, Iowa.
The Cougars fell to 1-2 in pool play after getting swept for only the second time this season. The Cougars finished 13th overall, the lowest finish in their 16 consecutive appearances in the tournament.
Columbia College finishes the 2009 season with a 38-4 record.
